Our Wedding

Tanner and McCall’s story began long before either of them knew it. Their parents were close friends after college, and their moms were even roommates — which meant the Goodman and Wike families spent plenty of time together while their kids were growing up. Somewhere in those early days, a toddler-sized spark appeared — Tanner’s very first kiss came from McCall while he was fast asleep! Years passed, and life carried them in different directions. But in July of 2024, everything came full circle. Tanner and his mother took a trip to Bozeman, Montana, to spend a few days with the Goodmans. Between mountain views, late-night laughs, and shared memories from their families’ past, something quietly shifted. What started as friendship quickly grew into something deeper — a connection neither of them could ignore. When the trip ended, Tanner and McCall decided to give this new chapter a chance. They spent the next few months flying back and forth to see each other every few weeks, until the distance became too much to bear. So, in true adventure-loving spirit, they packed up and made the drive together from Bozeman to Winston-Salem to start their life side by side. A few months later, in August 2025, Tanner asked McCall to marry him — and she said yes! From childhood friends to forever partners, their story has come full circle — and the best chapter is only just beginning.

We recommend guests look at hotel options outside of Canton, as hotel options in Canton itself are limited. There are many great hotels in Asheville, which is about a 30-minute drive from our wedding venue and offers a wide range of dining, shopping, and activities. Additionally, there are many wonderful Airbnb and vacation rental options in Canton and the surrounding areas. These can be a great choice, especially for families or groups, and offer a variety of sizes, styles, and price points. We encourage guests to book accommodations early and choose the option that best fits their needs. Please plan transportation accordingly for the drive to and from the wedding venue.
